Gipsy Rose Warhol

You know, it takes a certain gift to have everyone quoting you years after you’ve said something. But I guess it takes an even greater gift to have the thing just about come true. Yep, I’m pretty sure, now, that everyone will become world-famous for fifteen minutes – and blogs just moved the spotlight that little bit closer. So, here we go: lights, camera, action!! Umm, actually I’m not quite ready yet – gimme fifteen minutes…

How does it feel?

I was watching America's Got Talent tonight. Having a laugh at Leonid (who I found very entertaining, but impossible to place in any kind of category), a thought occurred to me: 'What would people think of my latest work? How would they regard it?'
The thought had occurred to me ages ago, actually. It's the writer's job to persuade the reader of its merits, so I didn't dwell too heavily on it at the time.
A funny one. My subjective opinion would always hold anything I've done in a sympathetic light. Now that I've begun to write the story proper, and I understand where I'm going with it, I feel I have enough information to go on in order to gauge some kind of public (hopefully!) perception. It's probably evident that I'm enjoying what I'm doing and that's the reason I'm thinking in this way. I don't really want to get ahead of myself with anything I'm doing, but it was a thought that seemed worth exploring.
Music has played a hugely important part of my life, as it does in yours, I'm sure. One of my favourite songs from way back is 'Off The Wall'. I can't listen to it enough times to be sick of hearing it.
I don't mind saying that I believe that this is a serious story. It opens that way and continues in that vein mostly throughout. But there are lighter moments, too, and hopefully with the darker shades will provide a very fruitful contrast whenever they occur.
Yeah, at this early stage, off the wall would seem a valid description. This may still be true of it later, although I do hope that there would be a lot more to add to this description than that. But, for now, off the wall is good.
I've added Off The Wall to the Crawfish video. I wonder what Elvis would have thought of Jacko at his height. He was always complimentary to other acts, but I'd have loved to have heard his opinion.
