Had a good conversation with an old mate of mine, Mark Peters - he's working away in Africa and won't be back until the 3rd of January. Glad Mark is doing well and the future looks bright!
I'm off to a reunion on Saturday night in The Trimmers Arms. It's a general bash for people connected to the Laygate area of South Shields, commonly known among us as Lagos, after the huge concentration of Ethnic mixes. It's a great place, full of lively and intelligent people, fiercely loyal to family and friends. Should be fun, as it's not a greatly serious reunion, given that almost everyone keeps in touch with someone anyway. It's good to have something like this - gets me out for one thing!
I haven't been writing or blogging much lately, though I noticed, for example, that I had 23 blog visitors yesterday - the vast majority Russian, it seems. I'm probably being spammed (like my hotmail account), though I hope I'm being spidered :-)
It's getting my head round the events and rearranging/realigning things after the third chapter. It's gonna take some doing, though it will be done for sure. A real test of my abilities in the modern arena, as I'm primarily a fantasy writer and I feel like I need to consciously move along in a certain way. Everything comes hard to me with this one. Not going to analyse why, as that would be a counter-productive 'dwelling-point'.
Christmas and New Year around the corner and I'm feeling optimistic. It's not a slog, but a long process. About time I put some music up on Facebook!
We'll get there... :-)

You know, it takes a certain gift to have everyone quoting you years after you’ve said something. But I guess it takes an even greater gift to have the thing just about come true. Yep, I’m pretty sure, now, that everyone will become world-famous for fifteen minutes – and blogs just moved the spotlight that little bit closer.
So, here we go: lights, camera, action!! Umm, actually I’m not quite ready yet – gimme fifteen minutes…
