- A Christmas Carol - Probably the most heartwarming story ever.
- Alice In Wonderland - gives me the giggles.
- Boy Wonder - Just makes me laugh, with the story tilted at the jauntiest of angles.
- Peter Pan - I read it so many times the ink wore out! And yet it's been so long since I last read it, I've forgotten bits of what it's about. Fabulous.
- Rival Schools at Marstone - reminds me so much of my school days. Very real.
- Seize The Night - A first person 'pov' masterclass.
- The Lord Of The Rings - the model for all 'epic fantasies', and established a genre on its own.
- The Magician's Nephew - I loved the witch.
- Use Of Weapons - Banks at his best. Sprawling and full of imagination.
